Academy Program Overview:
 HFA has
designed the CFI Academy
Pilot Course to be a classroom paced,
expertly
supervised, quality career flight training
program. This professional pilot academy program will help you
comprehend the aeronautical knowledge and reinforce the skills
necessary for you to become a safe, proficient and fully
competent FAA Certified Flight Instructor. Having a command
of aviation concepts and the ability to apply and teach them
properly is fundamental to teaching student pilots. HFA believes
that a CFI’s ability to teach a student pilot to exercise good
judgment and make sound aeronautical decisions is paramount.

The Flight
Instructor Academy Course is divided into six phases:

Learning Platform

Fundamentals of Instruction

Human
Factors

Becoming FAA Certified Instructor

The
Primary Instructor

The
Advanced Instructor
The
hours of instruction listed below have been designed to meet
or exceed the minimum flight time requirements dictated by the Federal
Aviation Administration, (FAA).
Important:
Good study habits,
personal discipline and aptitude are all necessary ingredients
for the successful completion of the CFI Academy Course.
Attendance
is mandatory for the entirety of the CFI Academy Course.
There are
times when additional training is required to achieve and
maintain proficiency standards. HFA CFI Academy Rates shall be
afforded to students that maintain a positive account balance
and will remain in effect from the conclusion of the course and
for an additional 30 days.
Prerequisites:
To be
eligible for enrollment you must hold a Commercial Pilot
Certificate. Your Commercial Pilot Certificate must contain
“Airplane Single Engine Land with Instrument Airplane
Privileges.” You must also maintain a current FAA Third Class
Medical Certificate.
