HFA Celebrates 10 Years today!

Celebrating 10 Years: "Congratulations HFA!"

Today, Heritage Flight Academy celebrates it's 10th year of providing expert FAA approved Flight training on Long Island, New York.  "It's hard to believe it's been 10 years," says Neil. J. Visse HFA's Executive Vice President.  "When we first opened our hangar doors ten years ago we had one airplane and a small office.  Now we have a large fleet and over 12,000 square feet of office and hangar space."  You can check-out HFA's operation on Facebook. HFA is an approved FAA Part 141 Flight Training academy.  FAA approved flight instruction is the "top shelf" when it comes to learning how to fly.  The Federal Aviation Administration provides strict oversight over everything from maintenance to instructional curricula.  It's without a doubt the way to go for those serious about learning how to fly.

"We've helped launch many a career at Heritage Flight Academy and fulfilled many a recreational pilot's Dream to Fly." Heritage Flight Academy is not your typical (FBO) Fixed Base Operator. They focus primarily on teaching people from all over the world how to fly in a fun, safe, professional environment. "We don't do anything that distracts the traditional FBO; i.e. selling fuel, renting tie downs and hangar space, etc; our primary goal and mission is that of creating safe competent aviators.  This can only be accomplished by focusing solely on teaching and instruction."

So, where does Heritage Flight Academy see itself in the next ten years? "We're going to expand that's for sure.  In the coming year we will be adding additional training aircraft and more classroom and flight-briefing areas for our students. We're also working on obtaining our Air Charter FAA Part 135 Certificate as well as expanding our FAA Airframe and Powerplant courses and curricula."

It's exciting times for aviation and Heritage Flight Academy is and will continue to be an active participant.  Here's to the next decade of "Keeping the Dream Alive!"  Happy 10th Anniversary!
